Heather Taylor - Associate

Heather’s litigation practice covers disputes involving motor vehicle accident claims, construction losses, and commercial disputes. She represents a wide variety of clients in insurance defence, commercial litigation, and plaintiff personal injury cases.

Heather graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1992. She was called to the bar of Manitoba in 1992 and to the bar of Ontario in 1996. She practiced family law in Winnipeg for several years before starting a family and then acquired experience as a litigation law clerk while her children were small.

As a law clerk, Heather was privileged to work with some of Toronto’s finest advocates on a wide range of civil litigation matters that gave her extensive exposure to advocacy at trials, appeals, arbitrations and administrative hearings. She also has extensive knowledge and hands on experience using litigation software to organize and develop cases.

Returning to the practice of law with Black Sutherland in 2010, Heather brings her diverse experience and insight to her multi-faceted litigation practice. Heather is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Toronto Lawyers Association, and the Canadian Defence Lawyers.
