Nicholas T. Macos - Senior Partner
Nicholas T. Macos obtained his BSc from the University of Toronto in 1978, and in 1983 received his LLB at the University of Western Ontario.
Nick focuses his practice on real estate law, municipal law and construction law. He provides his clients with legal services in all phases of the development and construction process, from land acquisition to ribbon cutting. In Toronto, he has been involved with many successful projects, including the Hotel Admiral/Admiralty Point Condominiums at Harbourfront, Minto Plaza, the Docks Entertainment Complex and the Lillian H. Smith Library. In the Greater Toronto Area and beyond, Nick has assisted in the development of shopping centres and industrial and residential subdivisions. Balancing the private side of his practice, Nick is also retained by local municipalities and conservation authorities in the development and enforcement of planning regulations.
Nick is also an active member of the Real Estate, Municipal and Construction Law Sections of the Canadian Bar Association, On the personal side, Nick is an avid sports fan with a taste for adventure, who has cycled across Europe, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and paddled the Amazon and Nahanni Rivers. Nick also promotes children’s causes such as the Hawk’s Nest Camp for aboriginal and underprivileged children and is the chairperson of Variety – the Children’s Charity.
