Kaleigh received her Bachelor of Arts from McGill University in 2011 where she majored in Political Science. She obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Western Ontario in 2015. In her final year of law school, Kaleigh studied in the LLM program at the Université Jean Moulin in Lyon, France. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2016 and joined the Black Sutherland LLP team that year.
Kaleigh’s areas of practice include commercial litigation and specie insurance litigation. In her commercial practice, Kaleigh acts for a variety of clients in business and shareholder disputes, oppression remedies, mortgage disputes, and contractual disputes. In her specie insurance practice, Kaleigh represents insurers on claims related to jewelry, fine art, and antiquities. Her insurance practice also extends to property claims, occupiers’ liability claims and motor vehicle accidents. Kaleigh is further gaining experience with employment law including wrongful dismissal claims.
Kaleigh is a member of the Canadian and Ontario Bar Associations, Canadian Defence Lawyers, the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, the Advocates’ Society and Young Women in Law.
