Siobhan completed her Honours Bachelor of Arts degree at York University, majoring in English and Mass Communications. She obtained her law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School in 2003 and was called to the bar of Ontario in 2004.
After law school, Siobhan completed a judicial clerkship with the Superior Court of Justice, assisting 25 judges in the Central West Region. Before joining Black Sutherland LLP, she practiced insurance litigation for several years at top Toronto litigation boutiques, handling claims in bodily injury, health law, municipal liability, and professional negligence.
As a member of the insurance defence group, Siobhan’s practice focuses on motor vehicle accidents, occupiers’ liability, and product liability claims. Siobhan has acquired extensive jury and non-jury trial experience in the Superior Court of Justice.
Siobhan is a member of the Canadian and Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Defence Lawyers, the Advocates Society and the Women’s Law Association of Ontario.
In addition to her legal background, Siobhan has a Master of Journalism degree. Her articles have been published in several prominent legal and Canadian publications, including Canadian Lawyer, Law Times, InHouse, Legal Feeds, Canadian Geographic, Water Canada, and Huffington Post.
