Blair received her Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Western Ontario in 2002 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2003. Prior to completing her law degree, Blair obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University. Blair started her practice of law at a litigation boutique downtown Toronto before joining Black Sutherland as a partner in August 2019.
As a senior litigator, Blair has acquired extensive jury trial experience at the Superior Court of Justice where she has won several jury and judge-alone trials for the defence. Blair has also successfully appeared as lead counsel before the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Divisional Court.
Blair is a member of the insurance defence group at Black Sutherland. Her areas of practice include general civil litigation, motor vehicle accidents, Occupiers’ Liability, and insurance coverage work. In addition to successfully winning civil trials, Blair has also been successful in defending criminal matters before the Superior Court of Justice.
In addition, Blair enjoys volunteering at the Ontario Law Help Centre offering pro bono services. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, travelling and practising yoga.
