Warren S. Rapoport
Warren obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1980, where he majored in Economics. He subsequently obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Toronto in 1983. Warren was called to the Ontario Bar in 1985.
Warren’s areas of practice include civil and commercial litigation, employment law, pension law as well as estates and trusts. In his commercial law practice, Warren provides advice about partnerships, shareholder disputes, commercial real estate and leasing and mortgage issues. In his employment law practice, he drafts employment contracts and handbooks and represents employers and employees, addressing a wide range of disputes at both the provincial and federal levels including wrongful dismissal claims, workplace harassment disputes, human rights complaints, as well as issues relating to confidential information, fiduciary duties, solicitation and competition.
Warren is a member of the Canadian and Ontario Bar Associations, the Arbitration Institute of Ontario and the Advocates’ Society. He is accredited by the Arbitration Institute of Ontario and has taught alternative dispute resolution at the Bar Admission Course. Warren writes and speaks on employment and pension law matters regularly.
