Karina graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Political Science in 2005. She received her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor in 2008. While at the University of Windsor, Karina volunteered with Community Legal Aid and the Family Law Information Clinic representing low-income community members. She was called to the bar in 2009.
Since her call to the bar, Karina has represented both insurers and plaintiffs in relation to motor vehicle accident bodily injury, accident benefits and occupier liability claims giving her the unique ability to evaluate a claim from all perspectives.
Karina joined Black Sutherland LLP in 2023 in the insurance defence group. Her practice continues to focus on motor vehicle and occupier liability claims. Karina regularly appears before all levels of the Ontario courts and various tribunals.
In her spare time, Karina enjoys travelling, spending time with her family, and counting down to the next World Cup.
