Josiah earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Allison University in 2004, where he graduated with honours. He completed a Master of Arts degree in Politics and International Studies at the University of Birmingham in 2005, where he graduated with merit. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws from Dalhousie University in 2009 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2010. He joined Black Sutherland LLP in 2020.
Josiah’s practice focuses on the defence of complex property and personal injury claims, professional liability, and coverage advice. He has published numerous articles in the areas of civil litigation and insurance law and has appeared as a commentator on CBC to discuss insurance coverage issues. He has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario.
Josiah is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Advocates’ Society, the Toronto Lawyers’ Association, Canadian Defence Lawyers and the Medico-Legal Society.
