Burl’s Creek, the host site for the Boots & Hearts country music festival located north of Barrie, received approval for camping and parking on lands adjoining its event grounds. The OMB approved the temporary seasonal use recognizing that the site would continue to be used for agriculture. Nick Macos, representing Burl’s Creek, was also successful in obtaining a liquor licence at the Licensing Appeal Tribunal and having zoning charges dismissed at the Provincial Offences Court. The Event and Camping Grounds has hosted over 40,000 patrons during events.
